It took them 24 hours to circle their liberal wagons but Hillary Clinton and former President Obama have commented on the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Clinton said of the situation with her longtime friend and financial backer Weinstein, "I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior."
As for former President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the joint statement said anyone who demeans or degrades women needs to be held accountable. The former first family also cheered the women who came forward with their accusations against the co-founder of The Weinstein Company. Weinstein was a “bundler” for Obama bringing in substantial campaign donations.
Scumbag Weinstein is now being accused of much more than aggressive sexual harassment now with one actress claiming he tried to rape her. Meantime, Weinstein's wife of a decade, designer Georgina Chapman has had enough and announced she's leaving him. Weinstein has fled to Europse where he's supposedly seeking treatment for his "sex addiction" in his attempt to turn things around and position HIM as the victim here.
