(Providence, RI) -- The chairman of the Providence Board of Licenses is out as a vote of no confidence is taken against Juan Pichardo. Pichardo has come under fire by Mayor Elorza after a hearing on the Penthouse nightclub was pushed back. The club has been cited with numerous complaints since it opened about a month ago and was temporarily shut down after a nearby shooting last week. The owner of the club says the real reason they want it shut down is because they don't want certain people of color in the neighborhood.
