(East Greenwich, RI) -- A Superior Court judge is invalidating the appointment of East Greenwich Town Manager Gayle Corrigan and reinstating a fired firefighter. Judge Susan McGuirl ruled yesterday that town council was in violation of the state's open meetings law when it appointed Corrigan to the post in June. The action was the result of a trial lawsuit filed by the East Greenwich Firefighters Union.
