(Providence, RI) -- A manhunt is over after a shootout in broad daylight in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. Police say the incident started when a suspect under arrest stole a Rhode Island State Police cruiser after the officer stopped to assist during an unrelated accident. The cruiser was later found abandoned, but witnesses say that shortly thereafter, shots could be heard near the Providence Place Mall. Police say the suspect is dead and another person is wounded.
