(Middletown, RI) -- A Middletown High School teacher's aide is facing an assault and battery charge for kicking a student in a wheelchair. Police say 44-year-old Stephanie Larocque was assigned to the 16-year-old student November 28th when the incident happened. Witnesses tell police say the student, who has cerebral palsy was pushing his wheelchair down a hall when Larocque asked the boy to move faster and lightly kicked him in the lower side. Larocque is on investigative leave from her position.
