LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed with agent Harrison Gaines—at least according to their father LaVar Ball.
And why would he ever stretch the truth?
Anyway, assuming this is true, and I’m willing to believe it since he told ESPN as much, that ends any speculation that LaMelo will actually return to UCLA or any college to basketball or—God forbid—get an education.
"I don't care about the money," LaVar Ball said yesterday. "I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team."
The odd thing is, Ball cannot possibly expect us to think he has thought this out when he had made it no secret that his original plan was a three-season “relationship” with UCLA in which Lonzo, then LiAngelo, and finally LaMelo went through the school as one-and-done NBA stepping stone..
Instead, it was one of his boys and then he was done.
At any rate, the good news is Ball said he will likely spend time wherever his two youngest sons wind up playing.
Let’s hope the boys sign with a franchise in Antarctica
