In the wake of the firing of former Today show host Matt Lauer last month over sexual harassment and misconduct allegations involving female NBC workers, the network has reportedly issued strict new rules requiring that employees report any misbehavior by their colleagues, and they risk being fired if they don't. Page Six reports that NBC staffers have been told to report any inappropriate relationships in the workplace, citing a source as saying, "Staffers have been told that if they find out about any affairs, romances, inappropriate relationships or behavior in the office, they have to report it to human resources, their superior or the company anti-harassment phone line. Staffers are shocked that they are now expected to snitch on their friends." The report says that rules have also been issued for conduct in the office, including for how to hug colleagues -- "do a quick hug, then an immediate release, and step away to avoid body contact" -- and for socializing, including not sharing taxis home
