MOST AMERICANS DISAGREE WITH DEMOCRATS...TRUMP NAILED IT!

Democrats may not have liked a thing that President Trump had to say Tuesday night, but most Americans appear to disagree...with them. In fact, a CBS News Poll reveals that of the three in four Americans who watched the address, an overwhelming 75% bought in. The survey also says:

Eight in 10 Americans who watched tonight felt that the president was trying to unite the country, rather than divide it.Two-thirds said the speech made them feel proud, though just a third said it made them feel safer.

But here’s the hitch. The majority of those who watched the event leaned in the President’s direction politically to begin with. According to CBS News, 24% of Americans identify themselves as Republicans, but when asked, the percentage of watchers jumped to 42% (with 33% identifying as Independents and 25% saying they’re Dems).

Still, the news comes on the heels of another poll that the White House is sure to be pleased by. A new survey out of Monmouth University says that Mr. Trump – whose approval ratings have been nothing short of dismal in recent months – is getting a bit of a bounce in the last month. How much bounce? Ten points. Monmouth reports that 42% approve and 50% disapprove of the President’s job performance. And while 42% isn’t great, it’s still an improvement from his December low of 32% approval and 56% disapproval.
