(Providence, RI) -- Proposed legislation could lead to a life sentence for those convicted of a drug-induced homicide. Current state law applies only to a minor who dies from an overdose. If enacted, the legislation would be dubbed "Kristen's Law," honoring Kristen Coutu, who died from an overdose of pure fentanyl in 2015.
