You needed a scorecard to figure out who showed up at the Moderate Party's Candidate Forum last week held at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel. Democrats Paul Roselli and Spencer Dickenson showed along with Republican Giovanni Feroce who described himself as a "celebrity CEO." He ought to be something when he comes out of his shell. Moderate Party Chair Bill Gilbert organized the forum and HE doesn't even want to be his party's candidate. Three underdog candidates running as independents...Joe Trillo, Matt Brown and Luis-Daniel Munoz didn't attend. Brown says he's still contemplating whether he's running...Munoz didn't respond to the Pro-Jo's request for comment and Trillo says he objects to a debate sponsored by a political party. Trillo says it's too early for a debate anyway but he did send his TRILLO FOR GOVERNOR box truck, his rolling billboard. GOP front runner Allan Fung passed saying he was busy working on his budget while House Minority Leader and GOP candidate Patricia Morgan stayed away saying she'd gladly debate when Fung "comes out of hiding." There wasn't exactly a ground swell of people attending the event either with about 40 people showing up several saying they were curious about Feroce. Talk about folks who need to get out more.
