(Undated) -- Rhode Islanders remembered Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, 50 years after his assassination. Speakers talked about King's message of peace at an assembly at the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence in Providence. Earlier yesterday, there was a similar gathering at the MLK Community Center in Newport. Also, the Rhode Island State Council of Churches sponsored a bus trip to Washington for a march.
