(Kingston, RI) -- A new coach is being announced for the University of Rhode Island men's basketball team. David Cox has been promoted from his associate head coach position as the 20th head coach in program history. He replaces Dan Hurley, who has taken the head coaching job at the University of Connecticut. Cox will be introduced at a press conference on Friday.
