(Newport, RI) -- The president of Salve Regina University is retiring next year. Sister Jane Gerety issued that notice on Wednesday. Gerety was inaugurated as the Newport school's seventh president in 2009 and was previously a member of the board of trustees. Salve Regina's current board has formed a national committee to search for a replacement.
