(Providence, RI) -- A Pawtucket man is being found guilty of murder in connection to the death of his ten-year-old daughter. Jorge DePina was convicted by a Providence County Superior Court jury on Friday on a second-degree murder charge, but was acquitted of first-degree murder, meaning the state won't be able to seek a sentence of life without parole. The state medical examiner says Aleida DePina died from a perforated small intestine caused by blunt-force trauma. The jury deliberated for about eight hours on Thursday and Friday.
