"TechCrunch" reports Uber is spending about 200-million-dollars on the purchase of Jump, which operates in Washington, DC and also plans to expand into New York and Sacramento. Jump users can rent electric, power-assisted bikes that automatically lock and can be left anywhere without a docking station.
