Pawtucket Warning Of Rabies Danger

(Pawtucket, RI)  --  The Pawtucket Police Department is telling residents to watch out for rabid animals and to get their pets vaccinated.  Officials say a cat attacked by a skunk in the city recently was taken for treatment and determined to have rabies.  The police department says as the weather gets warmer, people are at increased risk for contact with wild animals that carry the disease, including skunks, foxes, raccoons and bats, plus stray cats and dogs.
