(Providence, RI) -- A Providence man is set to spend the rest of his life in prison on a murder conviction. Dari Garcia was sentenced on Friday in Rhode Island Superior Court to two consecutive life sentences, plus another 125 years to serve after that, for carrying out a home invasion in North Providence that resulted in the death of Richard Catalano in August of 2014. Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin called the incident brutal and violent and noted it left Catalano's mother with permanent injuries and trauma.
