(Providence, RI)  --  Senator Jack Reed is announcing some new funding for the Providence Public Library. Reed says the library is receiving a federal grant worth roughly half-a-million dollars, plus matching funds by partner organizations to test and distribute new adult education and workforce development library practices. The project will build upon and expand programs and practices already in place at libraries in Chicago and Los Angeles, according to a press release.
