Hasbro Reports Big First-Quarter Loss

(Pawtucket, RI)  --  The closure of Toys R Us is having an impact on Hasbro.  The toy company released its first-quarter financial estimates on Monday, indicating a 16-percent drop in net revenues and a net loss of 112-million-dollars.  Hasbro says the liquidation of Toys R Us in the United States and the U.K. resulted in the decrease in revenues, but chairman and CEO Brian Goldner said in a statement that Hasbro is working to put the disruption in the rear-view mirror.
