Access To Youth Mental Health Program Streamlined

(Providence, RI)  --  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island is supporting a new behavioral care model for children and teenagers facing mental illness. The company says in a press release says it's simplifying access to the Mindful Teen program at Bradley Hospital and working to expand the model of care in the future. Officials say it's an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and focuses on early intervention. Blue Cross says one in five Rhode Island children, ages six to seventeen, has a diagnosable mental health issue.
