(Providence, RI) -- Two state legislators are introducing legislation to establish and require funding for dual-language education in Rhode Island. Representative Grace Diaz of Providence and Senator Frank Ciccone the Third have filed separate bills in the House and Senate authorizing the state education department to establish a dual language immersion fund. Diaz says dual and English-language learners are becoming an increasingly large group of students in Rhode Island.
