COMEDIENNE'S JOKES FALL FLAT IN D-C

President Trump has spurned  the annual presidential appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner. In his absence, the event turned into a roast of him and members of his inner circle. That’s no surprise, but even veteran attendees were startled at the monologue by comedian alleged comedienne, Michelle Wolf, which was peppered with blunt insults and sexual references. “Like a porn star says when she’s about to have sex with Trump, let’s get this over with,” she said at the start.  Wolf attacked Sarah Huckabee Sanders personally, made an abortion joke about Mike Pence and even did schtick about Southwest airlines just a week after a poor passenger died after being sucked out a window. TOO SOON....TOO SOON. Look, I'm no prude, and I agree with Mel Brooks and Jerry Seinfeld (among others) who thing political correctness is ruining comedy...but this isn't COMEDY CENTRAL. This event NEEDS more cerebral comedy...no the easy low hanging fruit of bathroom yucks.
