FOX IN THE HEN HOUSE?

A case of the “fox guarding the hen house” or something else? What we know for sure – New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is resigning amid accusations he physically assaulted four women. What he says: it was all consensual sex play.

Two of the women claim Schneiderman choked and slapped them – and say it was so bad that they had to get medical attention for their injuries. All four women said the abuse happened while they were romantically involved with Schneiderman.

In an initial statement, Schneiderman denied the accusations, saying he's never assaulted anyone – while admitting that he has "engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity."

The allegations first appeared in “New Yorker” magazine, and while Schneiderman "strongly" contests the claims, he also says that he’s stepping down because fighting them will keep him from properly doing his job. What makes this situation all the more troubling is that Schneiderman has been leading the charge against accused serial predator Harvey Weinstein in his state and been a very vocal supporter of the #MeToo movement.
