ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY

NBC Universal's investigation into ousted "Today Show" host Matt Lauer has been released to the public. The report found no evidence that anyone at NBC News, human resources or others "in positions of authority in the News Division received any complaints" about Lauer's workplace behavior until two days before he was fired.

NBC News chairman Andy Lack says almost 70 interviews were conducted with current and former employees, as well more than 30 focus groups with 262 current staffers.

The investigation team also searched email accounts, text messages, employee records, complaint helplines and a web portal in search of reported complaints.

"Overall, the availability of evidence was impacted by the passage of time," the report summary states.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Lauer was allegedly omnipotent and apparently took full advantage of his position of power. The poster child for ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.

Lauer was fired last fall for inappropriate sexual behavior
