(Boston, MA) -- A federal court hearing is scheduled to stretch into a second day on Wednesday for a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration's immigration policy impacting married couples. Lillian Calderon of Providence, who is the lead plaintiff in the ACLU suit, was arrested and detained by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement when she began the citizenship process earlier this year. She is married to a naturalized citizen. During Tuesday's hearing, U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf told regional ICE director Thomas Brophy that immigration officials broke the law when they arrested illegal immigrants like Calderon earlier this year.
