(Providence, RI) -- Yet more lawyer problems are popping up for the state of Rhode Island. An attorney for the Department of Transportation apparently missed a deadline to respond to a contractor claim for the Providence Viaduct project on I-95, resulting in a Superior Court judge ruling in favor of the contractor earlier this year. The four-million-dollar suit was filed by Manafort Brothers in 2016. RIDOT director Peter Alviti Jr. said in a statement that the attorney who missed the deadline was verbally reprimanded.
