(North Kingstown, RI) -- Construction is underway for a new submarine-manufacturing facility at General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown. A groundbreaking ceremony at Quonset Business Park was attended on Monday by Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, Congressman Jim Langevin and Governor Gina Raimondo, as well as Electric Boat president Jeff Geiger. About 13-hundred new jobs are expected to be created from the 800-million-dollar project.
