(Providence, RI) -- The Providence City Council and Mayor Jorge Elorza appear to be resolving their differences on a budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The council's Finance Committee is set to discuss the 749-million-dollar revenue and spending plan on Wednesday. Committee chair John Igliozzi tells "The Providence Journal" that Council members balked at a request from Elorza's office to use neighborhood reinvestment money to cover school-improvement expenses. According to an agreement reached Monday, the city will fund the improvements through other sources.
