(Woonsocket, RI) -- A Massachusetts man is facing a DUI charge after allegedly driving into a utility pole in Woonsocket. Police say the incident last Friday involved Brian Magnussen of Norfolk. Magnussen reportedly tried to flee the scene and knocked down several live wires onto the car behind him, causing that driver and her two young children who were passengers to be trapped inside until rescue crews arrived. National Grid said about ten-thousand customers were impacted by the outage, which lasted under a half hour.
