Storms Followed By Heat, Forecast For Rhode Island

(Undated)  --  Some severe weather is expected for Rhode Island for the rest of the week. The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall that could yield urban and poor drainage flooding. A few thunderstorms may produce strong wind gusts. Then, forecasters say heat will build across the region over the weekend, with heat indices and-or temperatures at or above 95 degrees for two or more consecutive days.
