(Newport, RI) -- A new shuttle service is being offered for bicyclists who want to cross the bridges to Newport. The RI Bridge Bike Shuttle program began at the end of June and is a partnership that includes the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority. Bike riders are currently not allowed to get across the Newport Pell and Jamestown Verrazano bridges. The service is free and reservations can be made online.
