(Woonsocket, RI) -- The Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles is getting closer to open a new location in Woonsocket. The branch is scheduled to open next month at a renovated former fast food restaurant on Diamond Hill Road, replacing the current DMV office on Pond Street. Transportation officials say the new location will have more clerk stations, leading to possibly less wait time for drivers.
