(Providence, RI) -- The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is releasing data from the first month of truck tolling. RIDOT says nearly 626-thousand dollars were collected from the two toll gantries, an amount which was slightly above expectations. The transportation department is planning public comment meetings on July 27th after submitting an environmental assessment for another ten gantry locations. The tolls are the subject of a recently announced lawsuit.
