(Providence, RI) -- Nurses and other staff at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital are expected to begin a strike today. The Rhode Island Department of Health says it is coordinating directly with hospital leadership to ensure that safe, quality care continues to be delivered during the work stoppage this week. Other health care systems in the state say they are prepared, also, and anticipate an increase in patients.
