(Providence, RI) -- The Providence City Council is considering changing an ordinance limiting how many college students can live in one house. A proposal from Ward One Councilman Seth Yurdin would limit the number of undergraduate students living in an off-campus residence to four, which is one more than the current ordinance allows. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit after the original rule passed in 2015, alleging it was discriminatory. A Superior Court judge ruled earlier this year that the ordinance was valid.
