Pilot Whose Plane Was Shot Down In Vietnam Found

(Cranston, RI)  --  The remains of an Air Force pilot from Cranston who went missing in action in the Vietnam War have been found.  Lieutenant Colonel Frederic Moore Mellor's plane was shot down in August of 1965 during a recon mission in the North Vietnamese jungle.  The Pentagon announced on Monday that the Vietnamese government had led a search effort and recently found and returned Mellor's remains.  Burial and memorial services have not yet been announced.
