(Bristol, CT) -- A Rhode Island team is going back to the 2018 Little League World Series for the first time since 2016. The team from Coventry defeated the Massachusetts representative, from Pittsfield, in the final of the New England regional in Bristol, Connecticut on Sunday, 3-to-2. Coventry will face a team from Houston, Texas in the United States bracket of the World Series next Thursday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
