(Providence, RI) -- The Department of Children, Youth and Families is revealing details of child deaths in Rhode Island between January of 2016 and December of 2017. DCYF and the state health department shared that information on Monday, indicating eight fatalities and 23 other near-death incidents occurred. The departments say they are using the data to help the state better serve at-risk families.
