(Tiverton, RI) -- A new casino is opening in the East Bay this weekend. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting was held for the Tiverton Casino Hotel on Thursday, ahead of a grand opening that is scheduled for Saturday morning. The Newport Grand Casino closed earlier this week and transferred its gambling license to the new Tiverton property, where officials are hopeful they'll be able to add sports betting in the near future, as well.
