(Providence, RI) -- The Providence City Council is keeping the proposed Hope Point Tower alive. The council on Thursday voted to send New York developer Jason Fane's request for a zoning change on height restrictions back to the Ordinance Committee for further review. The change is required for the 46-story tower to be built on former Interstate 195 land on Dyer Street, which Fane has said is the only spot at which he is interested in building. The committee has previously recommended that the council reject the request.
