(Coventry, RI) -- U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue visited Rhode Island on Monday. Perdue checked out The Greene Company's cranberry bog, which supplies Ocean Spray, in Coventry and held a meet-and-greet with local farmers. Perdue, who was appointed last year, is making an effort to talk to farmers in every state. He was also the keynote speaker at a National Association of State Departments of Agriculture meeting in Connecticut on Monday.
