(Washington, DC) -- The Defense POW-MIA Accounting Agency is setting the date for the remains of a Rhode Island serviceman to be returned to his family for burial. Air Force Reserve Colonel Frederic Mellor of Cranston, who was accounted for in July, will be buried in Exeter on Friday, the agency said last week. Mellor reportedly encountered hostile fire while flying over a recon mission in the Vietnam War in 1965, and was not found despite ejecting from the aircraft and surviving.
