(Burrillville, RI) -- More delays are hitting a controversial proposed power plant in Burrillville. The Rhode Island Energy Facility Siting Board decided yesterday to suspend the permitting process for the one-billion-dollar fossil fuel-burning plant. The decision follows an announcement last week that the operator of the New England power grid made a motion to cancel its contract with the new plant because of previous delays, a move that must be ruled on by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
