Investigation Into False Statements About Kavanaugh

(Washington, DC)  --  A criminal review is being requested after a Rhode Island man apparently claimed Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a woman on a boat in Newport.  In a letter sent on Saturday to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Chris Wray, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred the individual, whose name was redacted, for allegedly making false statements in a letter sent to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and his committee staff on September 24th.  A Twitter account registered to Jeffrey Catalan, whose account details matched those in a previous judiciary committee transcript, posted an apology last week and seemed to recant the allegations that were made.
