New Legislation Introduced For Some Rhode Island

(Washington, DC)  --  Rhode Island's Congressional delegation is introducing a bill that would impact more than a half-dozen rivers in Rhode Island and Connecticut.  The Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Wild and Scenic River Act would affect the three-hundred-square-mile Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed.  The bill would open the door to additional federal preservation funding and support from the U.S. National Park Service but would not give the federal government control of the property, according to a statement.
