(Providence, RI) -- A tanker truck carrying 11-thousand gallons of gasoline overturned on Interstate 95 in Providence on Wednesday night, spilling some of its load into the Providence River. Authorities say it happened on the Allens Avenue on-ramp at around 7 p.m. Firefighters had to deploy foam to keep the fuel from igniting. The U.S. Coast Guard says about five-thousand gallons spilled onto the street, but it's not clear how much entered the river, as officials continue to work to mitigate the spill.
