RI Senators Not Expected To Vote For Kavanaugh

(Washington, DC)  --   "No" votes are expected from Rhode Island's two U.S. senators when the Senate takes an official vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.  Senator Sheldon Whitehouse reacted to the FBI investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh yesterday, saying if he had received a report like that when he was U.S. Attorney, he would have sent it back for more work, saying there were considerable restraints on the bureau.  Senator Jack Reed has previously stated he believes Kavanaugh's sexual assault accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.  Kavanaugh's confirmation is expected to hinge on a handful of undecided senators.
