Vigil Held For Synagogue Shooting Victims

(Providence, RI)  --  Hundreds of people attended an interfaith vigil outside the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island last night following the fatal shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh this past weekend.  Several students from Brown University said they were part of congregations that met at the Tree of Life synagogue and said they knew the shooting victims.  Governor Gina Raimondo, Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, Congressmen David Cicilline and James Langevin, and Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza were all in attendance but did not speak before the crowd.
