(Newport, RI) -- A female who was rescued from the water in Newport last month has died. The Newport Daily News reported that information from a Newport police detective on Monday. The victim was rescued from the harbor near the Goat Island causeway on October 21st and then hospitalized. She has not been identified and police did not share details of when she died.
