(Cranston, RI) -- There are nearly 60 races across the various state House and Senate districts in Rhode Island today. Most notable among them is the District 15 House matchup between incumbent Democrat Nicholas Mattiello and Republican challenger Steve Frias. House Speaker Mattiello, whose home district represents Cranston, has faced scrutiny from within his own party this year, most recently for the handling of sexual harassment allegations against Judiciary Committee chair Cale Keable. Nearly 20 Democrats in the House have now gone on the record saying they won't support him as continuing speaker if he is re-elected.
